Dear Family and Friends,
This week has been pretty great. We have been really busy and have had the chance to teach quite a lot.
Last Monday we watched Prince of Egypt with some of our zone. Apparently it's approved for P-day. I'd never seen it before, but I really enjoyed it. I also wrote a few letters.
On Tuesday we had our last district meeting before transfers. We had a lot of fun. We did a bunch of role playing, which isn't my favorite, but I did learn a lot. I also got pictures of the zone and district.
Wednesday we had transfer meeting, and it was crazy as usual. Sister C and I are still companions, but we did end up getting new roommates. And that was crazy because they didn't know they were moving and neither did our old roommates. So they spent a lot of their day packing. But one of our new roommates was my roommate in my old house, so that's fun. The meeting itself was awesome. We had a new zone created and we got to meet the 2nd counselor in the mission presidency. His name is President Hale, and he sounds exactly like President Monson when he speaks. It's kind of hilarious.
Thursday we were able to teach both of our investigators and that went pretty well. One of them is so prepared for the gospel. She loves meeting with us and listening to what we have to say. We really feel like she will be baptized soon. I know she would love the gospel.
Friday we were able to visit L, an older lady who moved here a few months ago and we helped her unpack. We're planning to help her put up Christmas decorations this week. And we talked to her about the temple open house and she is really excited to go. Also, she has a legit jukebox in her house and she let us listen to it. It was super legit.
And then on Sunday we had church all day and then went to the Mission President's Devotional. There is one each month for investigators, recent converts, less actives, and propspective missionaries. We can only go if we bring someone with us-we had several prospective missionaries that came with us. It was a great devotional. There were a few recent converts that told their conversion stories and how the gospel has blessed their lives. And then President and Sister Hale spoke for a few minutes. And again, he sounded like President Monson. It was really funny and we were all trying not to laugh. But what he said was really awesome and I'm glad we got to go.
Other than that, we have been able to do a lot of member visits this week too. We're really focused on getting to know the wards and it's been a lot of fun to get to know them better. They are all excited about the temple open house too, and most of them have already invited their friends to go. It is seriously going to be an incredible missionary tool for the next few months. It's actually in less than 60 days, which is crazy!
We have also started to go outside and exercise in the morning as a house. We get up at 6 and run to a park close to our house. The park has these cool exercise stations, so then we do all those and head back home. I've been pretty sore the past few days, but it's been really good to actually go outside and exercise.
I hope everything back home is going great. I love and miss you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
Love always,
Baylee
