Transfer 4: Same zone, but a new address.
Dear Family and Friends,
So here's some crazy news, by the time this transfer is over I'll only have one year left of my mission! How has the time gone by so fast?! Anyways, I don't remember what I wrote last week, since I was writing when transfer calls finally came I wasn't really able to focus. So if I repeat myself a lot, I'm sorry.
I did not get transfered, but Sister K did-she's also and STL now. So last Monday was spent packing and cleaning our house. And Sister K saying goodbye to some of the families.
Tuesday was pretty great too. We had district meeting and got pictures of our district and zone. And then we went out to eat as a zone which was fun too. And then we spent more time visiting families and saying goodbye. We were also able to visit L, who we helped move in about a month ago. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she was really excited about it. I'm excited to go back and talk to her about it a little more. And that night we visited a less active sister and her nonmember husband. I think he is so prepared for the gospel. They both want church to be a part of their lives, and I know that the gospel would bless them immensely. I'm excited to visit them again as well.
And then Wednesday was transfer day. It was pretty crazy. I got a new companion, Sister C. She's from Kaysville, Utah and has been out for 3 weeks less than me. I think we're going to get along really well and I'm really excited for this transfer. We both feel like we're going to see some really cool miracles this transfer as we work hard and stay focused. After the meeting I found out that I was moving to a new house, which was unexpected since I'm still covering the same area. So then we had to go and pack up all my stuff and move to our new house. We like it a lot, it's super nice and has a lot of space. And we have 2 roommates. We don't have hot water yet, so we've had to take cold showers, but we're supposed to get hot water today and that'll be nice. Basically it was a really crazy day. But it was good too and made me excited for this transfer.
Friday was busy. We had planning in the morning and then New missionary meeting for sister C in the afternoon. It was really good and I learned a lot. And then that night we went to a wedding. There's a member in the ward who got married to a recent convert. She was baptized last week, but she was living in Tempe Mission boundaries so she was baptized there. The missionaries that taught her came and we got to talk to them for a little bit. They've started using Facebook already and were telling us a little bit about that. Hopefully in the next few months we'll start using Facebook too. I'll be using my own account too, so that'll be pretty cool. I'll let you know when I find out more. But the wedding was really cool, and we're excited to get to teach her the new member lessons and help them prepare to go to the temple.
And then Saturday and Sunday was general conference, which was amazing! I learned so much and loved every minute of it. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to hear from prophets and apostles every 6 months. I know that they are truly called of God and that as I listen to what they teach I will be blessed. I love knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father and I love sharing that with other people too. Being a missionary is the best!
Well, I gotta get going. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying life back home. I love and miss you all!
Love always,
Baylee
P.S. The pictures are of my last district and zone, and me and my new companion.
(NOTE: The computer is not letting me upload these...so I will get them up ASAP).
