May 5

Dear Family and Friends,

Well, today I've been gone for 11 months, how crazy is that?!? It was a fun last week. Nothing too crazy happened, but I enjoyed it.

Last Monday we had a barbeque with our zone at one of the members house. That was fun. We ate lots of food and our district leaders played the bagpipes for us. Haha. And then later that day we played ultimate frisbee with a bunch of the youth from Highland High School. They organized it through their seminary leaders and there were a lot of nonmembers there. It was pretty fun, but I'm horrible at anything that requires hand-eye coordination, so I wasn't terribly good. Haha. That night was crazy too. We had to pick up Sister Collins from the mission home (she was leaving the next day and had dinner with President Nattress and his family). It was fun to get to see President and Sister Nattress though, they're the best. We talked to them and the APs for awhile and then they gave us some cookies before we left. It was great. Haha.

Tuesday we were in a trio since Sister Collins left, so we had Sister Russell with us all day. It was a little crazy, but it was a good day overall. We had a lot of fun together and Sister Russell even found a new investigator. Miracles do happen! Haha.

Wednesday was transfer meeting, which was great. We had some awesome training. Nothing too crazy happened at transfer meeting, just a lot of people moving around to new areas. We didn't have any new zones created or anything though. We do have 4 APs, and 3 of them leave at the end of the transfer, so that's interesting, but it'll all work out. Heavenly Father knows what he's doing and I trust Him completely. Oh! We also got a car! We're hoping we get to keep it for awhile. haha. Especially since it's getting so hot. We don't have a ton of miles though, so we'll still be biking too.

Thursday we met with our investigator Maria, and it was a great lesson. She seems so open and willing to learn more. Every time we go to visit she's more open to what we teach and she seems so sincerely interested. We're giving her a church tour tomorrow and we're hoping that will help her feel comfortable coming to church.

Friday we had new missionary meeting. They do it every transfer for the missionaries that have been out for 6 or 12 weeks. And it was my 7th time going. I've been twice for myself, and then 5 times with companions. haha. It's a great meeting though, and I've learned a lot so I really don't mind.

Saturday was great as well. We visited a lot of the ward leaders. It was super hot, which wasn't too fun, but we survived it. haha.

And then yesterday was great. We had lot of church, which I'm learning to enjoy. Yes, 9 hours is a lot, but I get to learn a lot, so it's great. And then we had a recent convert lesson with Krystal. She's doing so great! She loves the gospel and her daughters do too. I love meeting with her. Seeing the joy the gospel has brought into her life reminds me of why I chose to come out here. Even when times get hard, it's worth it if I can help others find joy and happiness.

Well, that's about all that happening out here. I hope all is well back home. I love and miss you all! Have a great week!

Love Always,
Baylee
