Dear Family and Friends,
Last week was pretty uneventful. And I'm almost out of time, so this email will probably be pretty short.
Last Monday was pretty sweet. I went to a self-defense thing with 2 other sisters in my zone. Some of the members down here have a ju'jitsu (not sure if i spelled that right) business/studio in their garage. And every Monday they invite the missionaries over to learn. So last week we got to go and it was super fun. I might have to take it up when I get home. Haha. And we get to go back again today, which will be awesome. I'll try to take some pictures this time.
And then that night we got to teach a lesson to one of the families in our ward. That was really awesome because the dad just came back to church after years of inactivity. He's super excited to be back though. And it was amazing to see how much it has blessed their family. I feel super blessed to have the chance to see that happening.
On Tuesday at district meeting we role-played church tours, and that was actually really cool. We're going to start tours in our areas, and I'm super excited to see how it goes. One of my zone leaders said when they started doing it in his home mission, it doubled their teaching opportunities and their baptisms. So I know it will be super awesome.
The rest of the week was pretty average. We did lots of normal missionary stuff and talked to lots of different people. We did ride our bikes this week, which was super fun too.
I was sick yesterday, which was not so fun. At all. We ended up inside all day, but I feel much better now. And we're going to go shopping today, so I'm excited to see how P-day goes today.
And then next weekend will be awesome. First of all, Saturday is my birthday and it's the cultural celebration! It's going to be awesome to watch! The youth have been practicing for months. And then on Sunday is the dedication of the Gilbert Temple, which will also be amazing!
So it's definitely going to be a great week! I hope that you all have a great week too! I'll try to write more next week and be more exciting! Love and miss you!
Love always,
Baylee
