Dear Family and Friends,
Well as usual I can't believe it's already Monday again. The weeks seem to fly by. I swear they're going faster and faster. Haha.
We had a pretty great week. We've been teaching one of the families in our area daughter-in-law I hope that makes sense. haha.) She's not technically in our area, but we've been coordinating with the missionaries in her area. She's getting baptized on Saturday, and we're so excited for her! She went to the Gilbert Temple open house and loved it and decided she wanted to learn more. And now she's getting baptized! It's been so great to get to teach her! She's so prepared for the gospel and soaks it all up. It's amazing to get to help someone come closer to Jesus Christ. I feel so blessed that he's trusted me enough to send me out here and teach so many amazing people. I learn just as much as the people I teach, and I love every minute of it.
We also got to help out at the Easter Pagent on Thursday, and that was super fun. We just got to greet the people that came into our section and invited them to go inside the visitors center. And then on Friday we took our investigator to see it. It was an amazing production! There are over 400 people in it and it's so great! The music and costumes and all of it are so amazing to see. We knew several of the people in it too because they're in one of our wards. One of our members was one of the 12 Apostles and another one played Mary. We also had some that were part of the general cast. It was just cool to think that they're all volunteers and it turns out so well.
We also got to go to the Mesa Temple again Wednesday morning. Hopefully at some point we'll get to go to Gilbert, but they're trying to work it out right now so that they're won't be too many of us there at one time. Hopefully next transfer though. We'll see I guess. haha.
And then on Saturday we got to go help out at one of the high schools with special olympics. We were doing a bunch of different things, helping clean up, set up, keeping track of all the athletes, and so on. There was one little girl that had an asthma attack and her parents asked the Elders to give her a blessing. That was really neat. She was so grateful to have us all there and said it ran much more smoothly because there were so many volunteers. It was a lot of fun to get to help out.
Well, I'm almost out of time, but I hope you're all doing well. I want to leave you with my testimony of Jesus Christ since Easter is next Sunday.
I am so grateful to know that we have such a loving Heavenly Father. He knew we wouldn't be able to make it through this life alone, so He sent His son Jesus Christ for each one of us. Because Christ came to the earth and performed the Atonement, everything in life has meaning and purpose. We can be cleansed from our mistakes as we turn to Him. And we never have to feel alone, because we never are. He has experienced everything that we ever will and knows exactly how to help us through. I know this for myself because I have felt His love in my life everyday. I know He loves each one of us and I am so grateful for Him. I know He died, was resurrected, and lives again. And because He lives, we will all live again too.
I love and miss you all! Have a great week!
Love Always,
Baylee
