Hello!

Dear Family and Friends,

Last week was pretty great. We've been really busy getting to know all the members here. We still don't have a ton of investigators, but as we get to know the members better and help them get excited about missionary work, we'll find more people to teach. It's been cool to see how both of our wards have changed their attitudes about missionary work over the past few months. And I'm excited to see how it continues to change. We do have transfers coming up again next week, but I'm hoping we'll both get to stay. There is so much work to be done in this area, and I want to be a part of it.

Last Monday I did take a nice nap after our sunrise hike. It was wonderful. But I was tired for the rest of the week because waking up early and then napping threw me off. It was worth it though.

Tuesday we met with a less active sister in the ward and talked about the Book of Mormon with her. We've visited her several times and read a little with her last time. She had read more on her own and told us that she notices a difference in the days she reads and the days she doesn't. She said she loves how she feels when she reads it. It's been so cool to see the change in her perspective. It's so cool that I get to help people feel that. That's why I'm here, to help people find the happiness I've found through the gospel. And as I see that happening, I am so grateful that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to let me help share the gospel.

Wednesday we had exchanges. I was with Sister N in our area. She's one of the Sister Training Leaders and is about to go home, so she's an awesome missionary. I had such a great time and learned so much from her. It was a super productive day. We were able to visit a lot of people and have some really great conversations with people on the street. It was also a really hot day, so we were super gross and sweaty by the end of it. And I got sunburnt. In the middle of September. That shouldn't happen! Haha. But I was really grateful for the experience.

Thursday was really weird because we were inside all day since Sister K was sick. She had a really bad cold and the mission nurse told us to stay inside. So she slept in while I did studies until noon. Then I started watching the Proselyting dvds we have. I watched a lot of really good ones and learned a lot. I also got to catch up on my journal writing, which was nice. But I was grateful we got to out again on Friday. It's not fun to be inside all day when you've got a very limited selection of dvds to watch and things to read. Haha.

The rest of the week was pretty normal, just lots of visiting people and trying to talk to everyone we saw.

I am so grateful that I am out here serving the Lord. I know this is where I need to be and I am so grateful for all that I have learned. I know this church is true. I know that we can all return to live again with Heavenly Father, through the sacrifice and Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that by reading The Book of Mormon we can all come closer to Christ. And I know that our church is directed by a living prophet today. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that God lives and loves all of us. And I am so grateful Heavenly Father trusted me enough to send me here to share that knowledge with others.

I hope you're all doing well and living life to the fullest. I miss you all and would love to hear from you anytime! Have a fantastic week!

Love from,

Baylee
