May 19

Dear Family and Friends,

Well, this will be a pretty quick email because I'm almost out of time and didn't have a terribly exciting week. Haha.

Last week was pretty great and filled with lots of normal missionary stuff. Biking around in the 100 degree weather and talking to a lot of people. Most of them feel bad for us since it's so hot and we look so gross and sweaty. haha. So a lot of them offer water even if they don't want to hear about Jesus Christ.

We visited a lot of members last week which was really great. We're challenging them to find people to share the gospel with and getting to know the families better. We've got some really great wards and I'm enjoying getting to know them all better. And the members all want to do missionary work and are excited to work hard, so that makes things great too.

We had another family history training this week, which was fun. I looked up ancestors 10 generations back. We've got family from all over the place-Italy, Scotland, England, and even in Tennessee! That was pretty exciting. It's really cool to learn about all of them. It's because of them and their sacrifices that I'm where I'm at today. I really am grateful for what they did because it led me here today.

And yesterday was great too. 9 hours of church is always super uplifting. And we got to teach the 14 and 15 year old sunday school class in one of the wards. That was super fun. I really love the youth here.

I do want to tell you about one miracle that we've seen over the past few weeks. Her name is Michelle. She was invited by one of the members here to go to church and she came a few weeks ago. She loved it and came back the next week. And we've started to teach her the missionary lessons. She really loves it. She's been reading the Book of Mormon and is so willing to learn. We're excited to keep teaching her and see what happens.

This week was really great because I felt Heavenly Father's love for me in small ways throughout each day. It's not always easy to be a missionary. Not everyone wants to talk to us and some people are even rude, but I still love being out here. Heavenly Father loves each one of us and wants us all to make it back to live with Him again. And that's why I'm here, to share that message with everyone I see and tell them how it's possible. And even though it can be discouraging at times, I still know Heavenly Father loves me and appreciates my efforts. I can't control what other people do, but I can do my best to invite them to learn more.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful week! Enjoy the end of the school year! I love and miss you all!

Love Always,
Baylee
