Dear Family and Friends,
This past week was really pretty uneventful. Nothing too exciting happened. And I'm almost out of emailing time, so this email will probably be pretty short.
Last Monday night we got in to visit a part member family that we thought was trying to avoid us, and that was a really cool miracle. They were excited to see us, super friendly, and they invited us to come back! So that was great.
I had a really bad cold last week that wouldn't go away, and I ended up sleeping most of Wednesday and Thursday to try and get rid of it. Our mission nurse had me get a bunch of cold medicine and it worked, it went away, but two days of sleeping is not so fun, especially for my companion. But we made it through alright.
And then on Saturday we were suppposed to hear from Elder Holland, but something came up last minute and he wasn't able to make it. I was hoping they'd send another apostle or President Monson as a replacement, but no such luck. Haha. We still had our mission conference and we heard from Elder Wright, he's an area 70 that lives in Mesa. He was an awesome speaker, and I learned a lot. I was disappointed that we didn't get to hear from Elder Holland, but it was still and awesome meeting and I learned a lot.
And then yesterday we met with Bethany. She's been an offical member for a week and is doing great.
And that was really all the exciting things that happened in my week. Sad, but true.
This week should be more exciting though. The Gilbert Temple open house starts Saturday and that'll be awesome!
